  • File Transfer

  • Desktop Share
    To support desktop sharing, a program must be run on sharer's PC. IOMeeting's solution is both easy and secure: Only the sharer needs to download and run a temporary file, all the other meeting participants still use pure HTML to view the sharer's desktop. The temporary file is digitally signed by IOMeeting to ensure that it is from IOMeeting. The temporary file is downloaded to your temporary file folder. IOMeeting doesn't install any file in your systems directory, nor does IOMeeting put anything in your start menu or on your desktop;
    * Sharer can see a miniature of shared desktop (clicking on the IOMeeting icon in Windows system icon tray can show or hide the miniature window). A transparent layer on the miniature is used to indicate readiness: red means less than 35% of participants are in sync, yellow means between 35% and 65%, green means between 65% and 100%, no transparent layer mean 100% of participants are in sync;
    * Support remote control: during desktop or application sharing, presenter and the sharer can let any participant to control the desktop or application. Presenter can also request any participant to share desktop or application. The remote control supports all mouse events like click, move and drag, mouse buttons and all standard keys on keyboard, including combinations like Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V. And the remote control is cross platform, for example, a Windows participant can control a Mac's or Linux's desktop;
    * If you share desktop often, you also can install a plug-in so that you don't need to download the temporary file while in meeting;
    * Support both lossy and lossless image compression methods, both are 24-bit.
  • Application Share
    Besides sharing whole desktop, presenter can also choose to share only one or more applications running on the desktop. Compared with desktop sharing, application sharing is more private and generates much less network traffic (only 10% or less).
  • Audio (VOIP)
    Host can start free audio conference (VOIP). In order to join audio conference, participant needs to install Flash browser plugin.
