SECURE
IOMeeting was designed from ground up with security in mind. All communications between browser and server, or among servers, are not only encrypted but also authenticated.
- Pure HTML - Being a pure HTML solution without any plugin required, the security of IOMeeting is governed by the security of your browser. Any pure HTML page won't be able to get access to your disk files without your permission, or install a program that can damage your system;
- Encryption - All communication in IOMeeting, including between browser and server, and among our servers, are encrypted using industry standard 256-bit SSL. Browsers show a lock, when clicked, it displays IOMeeting's safety certificate;
- Authentification - Before server takes any action, we authenticate the requestor of the action. In addition, during a meeting, for private communication (for example private chat, password or security token), unlike the design of some of our competitors, we only send the messages to the relevant participant, instead of broadcasting to all participants. So that an unfriendly attendee cannot hack to become a presenter, or get your private chat messages;
- Server Design - On our servers, we don't store meeting files (uploaded by meeting presenters) on hard disk, we only keep them in computer memory. So if a hacker breaks into our server, or if an IOMeeting employee logins to our server, or even if someone takes the server hard disk, that person won't be able to get your meeting files. If the server hard disk breaks down and is replaced, you can be sure that your meeting files won't remain on the disk and fall into wrong hands. The only way to get access to your meeting files is to join your meeting. The meeting password stored in database is encrypted. The meeting host can expel any meeting participant. The host can also lock the meeting, then no one can join the meeting even if they know the meeting password;
- On-Premises - For ultimate security, IOMeeting offers on-premises solution. We can install our server behind your corporate firewall. Our server uses standard web software (free or LGPL) and was designed to scale: it can fit in a box, or scale to multiple boxes for failover and load balancing.
